‘Wendy Jones has been making art in Manchester’s Northern Quarter for the past twenty years. She has worked as a partner in Majolica Works and as a public art consultant with the Art Department.
Wendy played a key role in the re-generation of the Northern Quarter as a committee member and editor of the Northern Quarter Bugle. In 1999 with a group of friends, she bought a building in the Northern Quarter where she continues to work in ceramics and public art. Wendy also produces drawings, photographs and digital images.
Her latest digital work began three years ago when she discovered the joy of colour fill, which has been her main technique ever since. Wendy has created new digital works based on freehand drawings. The images are manipulated by introducing bold vibrant colours to the compositions. This distinctive style of work captures the delicacy of Wendy’s drawings and observations in a contemporary format.
The works are made in collaboration with Manchester based printer, William Chitham.
Wendy’s prices start at approx. £150 for a Limited Edition Print and go up to approx. £950 for a 120cm x 120cm giclee print on canvas image.
A Selection Wendy's works can now be purchased as limited edition prints.
