Comme Ca Art has worked on hundreds of art related projects over the years. Here we have detailed two of our favourite early projects that helped to raise the profile of Comme Ca Art and in one case, develop a long standing working relationship with one of the UK’s biggest retailers

In November 1999, Comme Ca Art joined forces with Debenhams Retail PLC. Store manager, Nick Harvey asked Comme Ca to curate a series of exhibitions in the Tib Street window facade at their Manchester city centre store. The premier exhibition opened in January 2000, showcasing works from a range of art and design disciplines by eleven UK resident artists and designers.

The feed back from the public, artists and designers, curators and art institutions was phenomenal and the windows reached higher expectations than Comme Ca Art could ever have imagined. Exhibitions included, "And The Heat Goes On" (Macho, Gangster, Love), an iconoclastic mix of cutting edge artists work, looking at an array of consumer market ideals and how the customer is lured in to these fashionable transatlantic global trends.
