'Blueprint Fakers & Citadel Makers’ (A-Z of Virtual Municipality), is Mike Dawson’s debut curated show as Comme Ca Arts Consultant Curator. This show offers a glimpse into the different ways contemporary artists are responding to the trends of the modern city and the current inclination of art institutes wanting to be young urban funky hang-outs.

This show has several major debuts for Manchester; this will be the first time Toby Paterson has exhibited here, Toby was last years Beck Futures winner and currently has a major solo show at the CCA in Glasgow. Layla Curtis will show her highly acclaimed map collages (which feature in the Tate Modern permanent collection) and the internationally acclaimed Maltase artist Norbert Francis Attard has made a site-considered work for the show entitled: ‘House of Cards’ (See Attached Image).

Not letting the Manchester based side down; we have site-considered works by Adele Myers, Hope London Morris and David Gledhill. Also debuting, new work by Nick Crowe & Ian Rawlinson, who are currently holding court at the Manchester Art Gallery with a major solo show. David Titley, Paul Needham, Patrick Flynn and The Owl Project (aka Simon Blackmore & Anthony Hall) present pre-existing work that encompass the spirit of the show, and as for the faceless graffiti orientated artist GL_itch ‘what you see is what you get’.
