The Pitcher & Piano has welcomed the opportunity to launch
their 2003 exhibition programme with a new selection of digitally
mastered images by Comme Ca Art’s most prolific print
maker, John Haworth.
John Haworth studied printmaking at Blackburn College and
Lancaster University, where he was awarded a Masters Degree.
John has exhibited his prints widely throughout the UK and
abroad. During 2002 John’s most recent collections were
shown in a variety of North West venues, including the Timber
Wharf Gallery, Manchester, Le Petit Blanc Brasserie, Manchester
and The Centre, Birchwood Park, Warrington.
John Haworth has achieved much recognition over the past two
years and his work has been shown as part of the 5th International
Digital Art Exhibition, which aims to highlight the best work
in the area of creative digital media.
Printmaking is John’s chosen medium because of the potential
it offers for the exciting exploration of delicate surface
properties. This resonates with his interest in the transient
moment. To an extent ‘The medium is the message’.
The works on display at the Pitcher & Piano are an eclectic
mix of affordable limited edition prints. If you don’t
already own a piece of work by John Haworth then this is the
