After the successful launch of BlancArtManchester at Raymond Blanc’s award winning brasserie, Le Petit Blanc has an exhilarating winter exhibition of contemporary art works opening on the 28th November 2002.

Le Petit Blanc customers and staff thoroughly enjoyed the opening exhibition and conversations between the diners has often focused on the art works in the brasserie. One customer was so impressed he bought a whole collection of paintings by local artist Petra McCarthy.

The success of this exhibition highlights the importance of alternative venues offering their support, and wall space, to up and coming artists and it gives Raymond great pleasure to be able to help the art communities in Birmingham, Cheltenham, Manchester and Oxford, where his four brasseries are situated.

In keeping with Raymond’s own philosophies on art, the exhibition features works by seven artists, all of whom work in a variety of media and subject matter. Silia Ka Tung’s beautiful calligraphy inspired Reclining Figure is seen on entering the brasserie and follows through to Julia Brooker’s arresting abstract paintings on aluminium. Sculptures and figurative paintings can also been seen on exploration of the brasserie’s private dining areas.
