Manchester’s art scene is part of the blueprint of the city and is as diverse as the city’s inhabitants. To celebrate the art scene Comme Ca Art Gallery director, Claire Turner has created the Manchester Art Fringe Festival, (MAFF), celebrating the exceptional artists who live, work and play in the city.
Over the course of four days, the Comme Ca Art Gallery at Hope Mill in Ancoats will become a hub for artists working in different disciplines. From contemporary painting to print making to sculpture, the gallery will house the best examples of what is being created in Manchester 365 days a year.
"My favourite part of being an art dealer is bringing together artists and curating exhibitions which appeal to people who are both looking to start collecting art and for collectors looking to add to their art portfolio.
MAFF will be a four day celebration of artistic creativity with a few surprises thrown in along the way. Being able to do this at the Comme Ca Art Gallery means the world to me as it's the place I sit down with artists and have conversations with them about their careers and art development. The opening preview evening is a chance to be one of the first people to visit the Manchester Art Fringe Festival to feast your eyes on the exhibiting artists works. All works are for sale with prices starting at £150. Don't miss out on finding your perfect piece of art.
Friday 17.11.23 - Gallery Open from 12:00 - 17:00
The Gallery will be open on Friday afternoon for people to call over to view the exhibition and to talk to the Comme Ca Art Team about the artists and advise on building your own art collection.
Saturday 18.11.23 - Gallery Brunch - 11:00 - 16:00

The brunch will include coffee, teas and pastries from 11am - 2pm and the gallery will remain open until 4pm. A number of the exhibiting artists will be at the brunch so you can speak to the artists directly about their works and find the perfect piece of art for your own collection. The Comme Ca Art Team will also be present to talk to you about the artists they represent and how you can also commission an artist to create a bespoke art exclusively for you.
Sunday 19.11.23 - Gallery Open from 11:00 - 16:00
The Gallery will be open on Sunday for people to call over to view the exhibition and to talk to the Comme Ca Art Team about the artists and advise on building your own art collection. The perfect way to spend a Sunday.
