Established in 1994, Comme Ca Art pioneered the creation of alternative exhibition venues throughout Manchester City Centre, offering up and coming artists the opportunity to showcase their works to a wide and varied audience.  More recently, Comme Ca Art has joined forces with Albatross & Arnold and The Range to produce high end Art Exhibitions throughout the restaurant and golf club.

“We are really looking forward to working with Albatross & Arnold and The Range on an exciting new programme of art exhibitions.  The luxurious interiors are the perfect back drop for showcasing the beautiful works our artists create.” Claire Turner, Comme Ca Art Founder.

ADRIAN PRITCHARD

Deeply rooted in and inspired by his ongoing research into extrasolar planets (Exoplanets), the paintings demonstrate the scientific approach that the artist takes to his work. Pouring resins and metallic pigments onto rounded discs, the artist physically manipulates the paint by tipping and turning it. Over time, and as a result of chemistry and gravity, the materials then settle into their own shapes and patterns creating multi-layered compositions that reference the dynamic and ever-changing surface of planets.

CHRISTOPHER RAINHAM

Christopher Rainham’s work has always been inspired by the natural world and more specifically his experience of the natural world. He is inspired by the way flora and fauna is woven into language, the explanations of things, stories and beliefs. Christopher loves the material qualities of paint, what it does, how it feels, smells, how in painting and drawing materials change and adapt, try and become something else in becoming a painting.

STEFANIE TROW

Stefanie’s paintings have grown into a bold and vivid amalgamation of outdoor life experiences and time spent in the studio. Both figures and foliage merge and melt into one another, leaving us struggling to separate one from the other.

Stefanie wants the viewer to be intrigued, to draw them closer to the details of the work, discovering the layers of brushstrokes that have been built up to create each piece. At first the paintings appear semi abstract but if we keep looking a new world starts to take shape.

ROBERT WALKER

Having worked as a commercial photographer until 2007, Robert now travels the world capturing moments in time from behind his camera lense. During his career Robert’s well known sitters included Dame Vivienne Westwood, Quentin Crisp, Frank Sidebottom and also Take That, later becoming one of their official photographers. Robert has exhibited internationally and was delighted when the National Portrait Gallery selected his work for their permanent collection.
