A short time after graduating from University my friend and I decided to set up CCA. It was the mid 1990’s and the City Centre of Manchester was changing rapidly. CCA laid the foundations for what is now seen as the norm; Art in Bars, Cafes, Restaurants, Department Stores and of course Hotels.

Over the course of almost twenty years CCA has stayed true to it’s original ethos; showcasing works by local artists, giving them a platform to develop their works and hopefully gain recognition outside of Manchester. It’s been wonderful to watch artists grow and even better to see their careers blossom. Most of the artists I work with have shown on an international level and even though they may be exhibiting all over the world they are still very much part of the CCA family, with CCA having access to their latest works before any other gallery or art dealer.

The most popular question I am asked as an Art Dealer is “Who should I invest in?” That’s an easy question to answer. You should buy artworks you love and become a champion of the artist. Buying artwork to keep in the attic for 30 years hoping it will increase in value has no value. If you love the artwork then the value is there already.

This exhibition showcases artists who have exhibited with CCA over the past twelve months and we are also introducing two new artists to our family, Neil Douglas and Stefanie Trow.

This exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to view what is currently being produced in Manchester. As well as painting, we have photography by eminent photographer, Robert Walker and the wonderfully tongue in cheek Embroidery works by Katherine Beefheart.

And of course, all of the artworks are for sale!

Please call the CCA Gallery on 0161 273 5495 for any sales enquiries, thank you.
