The StARTS Awards is a brand new initiative for promoting creative talent from within the Armed Forces Community and we are proud to present the very first exhibition showcasing works by the five winnings artists alongside Sara Howarth, Veteran Support Liaison for The STARTS Award and six professional artists who work with Comme Ca Art.
The professional artists have all worked with the StARTS Award founder, Sue Brodie on art projects with the Armed Forces Community so to exhibit their works together is the perfect fit. The StARTS Award artists were given the brief of 'My Happy Place" and this was also picked up by the professional artists. The exhibition showcases watercolour painting, oil painting, acrylic painting, drawing in ink and charcoal, and digital prints. Whilst each artist has their own sense of self within the works, the link throughout the exhibition can be seen in these beautiful, thoughtful artworks.
The STARTS Award launched in May of this year to promote new talent and creative wellbeing. The response to the Award has been overwhelmingly positive in terms of the number and quality of submissions received, and the feedback from the military community -
