Comme Ca Art and AWOL Studios joined forces to create a brand new Open Call Exhibition, inviting Manchester based artists to submit their works with a chance of winning a cash First Prize of £2,500, kindly part-sponsored by the Kamani Property Group.
Renowned Manchester based artist and illustrator, Stanley Chow become the exhibition’s Patron with a panel of Judges including, Sophie Helm (Manchester Art Fair), Jane Lawson (Castlefield Art Gallery) and Zoe Watson (The Lowry).
The winning artist, selected by the Judges was Nerissa Cahill Thompson with Matt Davies receiving the Highly Commended Award. The judges on Nerrisa's art:
“We felt it stood out throughout the process, combining casting and textiles in a way that is really unusual. It's a really refined, interesting and relevant piece.”
The exhibition is open to the public on Saturdays between 11:00 - 14:00 or by appointment.
