WINTER EXHIBITION

We have seven artists in the Lowry Hotel winter exhibition, two of whom are brand new to working with Comme Ca Art. Matthew Shutt's photorealist paintings depict superhero characters against the backdrop of his art book library. In other works, he takes photographs from the 1970s and 80s New York City, intricately drawn and painted, capturing the city inn a bygone era.
machOne depicts a universe that is both seductive and absurd. Drawing influences from Lichtenstien but executed with an Urban flair, a style derived from 90’s comic book cover art and skills honed through years of painting Graffiti.
Other artists include the very popular BIG H, who had a sell out show at the Lowry Hotel in 2022. BIG H’s art is mainly a mixture of graffiti and pop art with popular culture his subject matter. His art often satirises current issues in society such as celebrity culture, power and commercialism.
Rebecca Davy is much loved by our collectors and has worked on a number of bespoke painting commissions alongside her series of works depicting flowers, cakes and sweets.
Jamie Jones 'Golden Girl' is one of his best selling prints. With hand applied gold leaf gilding, this Limited Edition of 10 prints is almost a sell out.
Mr Eggs is best known for his street art, which can be found on walls around the city of Manchester and beyond. Having worked with Comme Ca Art for the past twelve months, his work has been sold to collectors as far afield as the USA.
We've even included a Little Artist one-off print. Known for their depiction of famous artists works in Lego, this exhibition showcases their monotone depiction of Hirst's 'Shark Tank'.
The exhibition will run alongside the Comme Ca Manchester Art Fringe Festival, MAFF, which opens on Thursday 16th November. The artists also have works in the MAFF exhibition at the Comme Ca Art Gallery so it's a great opportunity to view to incredible art exhibitions.
